Rose Water comes in many forms and the price can be dramatically different from one bottle to another. You may see the words "Floral rose water" , "Hydrosol" , "Hydrolat" and the list goes on. 
Our Damask Rose Water is traditionally steam distilled and distilled once only so as to retain as much rose oil as possible but other rose water products may have no oil at all but just a flavour similar to flavoured crisps!

Frankincense from Oman – the best grade of frankincense available
Frankincense invokes thoughts of religion in a lot of people in Western society – primarily as one of the 3 gifts of the Wise Men (Magi) or a smell that you may find in church. Whilst according to a number of accounts it is quite likely that the Wise Men would have brought frankincense from Oman it is unusual to find frankincense from Oman being burnt on its own in a church.
There are a number of different species of the Frankincense tree. The Boswellia Sacra tree produces the highest grade of frankincense available in the world. The frankincense derived from this tree is not only the most aromatic but also contains a number of chemicals that can aid health and wellbeing. The Boswellia Sacra frankincense tree only grows in Oman and Yemen although some claim to have found it in East Africa.
The incense generally burnt in churches is a mixture of low grade frankincense blended with other spices which does not produce as aromatic a perfume as frankincense from Oman. Although some church wardens may be doing this to cut down on cost it could be that they are following the instructions on how to make incense as written in Exodus
The best frankincense in the world is Royal Green frankincense. The smell of Royal Green frankincense is heavenly. In 1988 I walked into the Al Bustan Hotel  in Muscat and was overwhelmed by the smell of frankincense that the hotel was being burn in the lobby giving the hotel the feel of a cathedral. Royal Green frankincense has a slight green tinge and has far less salt in it than other Boswellia Sacra frankincense allowing it to burn longer and emit a wonderful aroma.
But frankincense in Oman is used as a normal day to day accoutrement. You will often walk into a house where it is being burnt to neutralize cooking smells or scent a room for visitors. After a meal a host will waft some around you or at the base of your dishdasha (robe).It has been used for centuries as a health aid especially for indigestion and is now being heralded as a possible cure for cancer but there is still some work to do on this.
